Welcome to
Woodham Doodles

Our puppies are part of our family from the moment they arrive.  As soon as they are old enough they live alongside us in our home, building their confidence and personalities in a busy family environment where they learn to live in harmony with our cat and are taught how to be kind to our chickens and ducks.

Our Story

Meeting our first Australian Doodle in 2015 was love at first site and we have never looked back! It is easy to understand why they are one of the most sought after breeds in the UK.

Limiting our breeding program to 2 litters a year ensures that we have the time to give each puppy a happy healthy upbringing in our Essex farmhouse. We are proud of the litters we raise and of our reputation as breeders of these fabulous dogs!

Our process is very personal and we maintain regular communication with you from the moment you decide you would like to have one of our puppies. We are here to support you for as long as you need us and always love to hear how you are getting on and what they are up to!

Enjoy browsing through our photos and information and feel free to call or email me about any questions you may have about our dogs or breeding program.

Happy Hounding!

About the breed

These beautiful, fun, intelligent dogs  are full of character and easy to train. They have a calm friendly temprament and are brilliant with children, making them exceptional family pets.

They have non-shedding coats and are a great breed for asthma or allergy sufferers. We have first hand experience of this as our daughter Poppy has had allergies and eczema since she was born, but has never had any allergy problems with Australian Labraoodles.

We breed medium sized ALDs which are 17-20 inches to the shoulder with a non-shedding coat. We focus on breeding dogs with a soft wavy fleece.

The first ALD was bred in the 80's by the Australian Guide Dogs Association, with the aim of creating a hypo-allercenic dog for a visually impaired client.

The cross breeding was explored further by Tegan Park and Rutland Manor who introduced  the Portuguese Water Dog, Irish Wheaten Terrier and Cocker Spaniel into the mix - refining our multi-generational Australian Labradoodles to create the dogs we breed today.
